Michael Kevin O'Brien, M.D., Ph.D. Michael K. O’Brien M.D., Ph.D., FACS, graduated from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. There he received his Ph.D. in Anatomy and Neurosciences and then went on to receive his M.D. Dr. O’Brien completed his training in general surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital and has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Yale University, Associate Section Chief in the section of general surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital, and the surgical coordinator in Clinical Anatomy at Yale University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and has completed advanced courses in Breast Ultrasound. Dr. O’Brien has office hours in New Haven.
